Opportunity:

Radiology / Cardiology - Interventional Radiology

Job Details:

• Work standard procedure hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with flexibility for earlier or later procedures as needed
• Call duties divided equally among team members, typically two nights per week and every other weekend
• Weekend call coverage from close of business Friday to department opening Monday morning
• Must respond to call within 30 minutes of notification
• Float between Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath Lab as needed
• Patient ratio of 2:1 during day shifts
• Handle approximately 5 visits per day with a daily census of 5 patients
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Work in single procedure room environment
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, interventional radiology procedures, and special procedures
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, PCI, PTCA, permanent pacemaker insertion required
• Must be proficient in various angiography procedures, embolization, stent placement, and vascular access procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and manage equipment setup
• Work with GE Innova IGS systems, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound equipment
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT, and Louisiana State License
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required - first time travelers not accepted
• Must live more than 65 miles from facility
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• May be assigned to Emergency Team during emergency events with expectation to remain at facility
