Description
Opportunity:
RN - PICU
Job Details:
• Work three 12-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, totaling 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend requirement with holiday rotation
• Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
• Float pool position - will float to all Pediatric units in SJCH (CVPICU, NICU, PICU)
• 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience required
• First-time travelers accepted if they have the required experience
• South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License required
• Required certifications: BLS and PALS (American Heart Association only)
• Preferred experience with ECMO and CRRT
• Block schedule accommodations require manager approval based on unit needs
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application
• Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2-week period
• Must be aware of hurricane season emergency response team assignments from June through November
• Skills include anti-seizure medications, chest tube maintenance, BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patient care, central line care, continuous sedation, ICP monitoring, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, and pediatric dosage calculations
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Modules averaging 4 hours must be completed pre-start

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
