Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float within scope to meet facility needs and between like units
• 1 year of stepdown experience required, 2 years preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: ACLS and CPI
• Epic experience required
• Telemetry competency and cardiac telemetry experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Royal blue scrubs required
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Daily census of 15 patients
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• During hurricane season (June-November), may be assigned to emergency response teams
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Must complete non-billable modules averaging 4 hours pre-start

This acute care hospital features 286 staffed beds and provides comprehensive medical services to the community. The facility utilizes Epic charting system and offers interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. The stepdown unit specializes in caring for patients who require intermediate-level monitoring and care between intensive care and general medical floors.
