Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Details:

• 2 years of experience required - unit accepts first time travelers
• Patient ratio: 1:1 for all shifts
• Call schedule: 20 days in a 6 week schedule including minimum of 2 weekends
• Weekend coverage included in call requirements only
• Floating required within facility/scope of practice including Main OR and to Piedmont Macon North Hospital as needed
• Daily census: 25 surgical cases with 8 operating rooms
• Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CNOR (preferred), TNCC (preferred)
• Charting system: Epic experience required
• Must work holidays if they fall during assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day)
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• 24 hours of orientation required
• Georgia or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal
• Two supervisory references required (Manager or above)
• Must be available to submit core items and complete labs within 48 hours of signing contract
• Skills include: Administration of blood products, cardiac procedures (CABG, valve replacements, TAVR), cell saver, laser safety, specimen handling, and universal protocol procedures

Facility:

This medical center features a comprehensive cardiovascular operating room with 8 operating rooms handling approximately 25 surgical cases daily. The facility specializes in advanced cardiac procedures including coronary artery bypass grafts, valve replacements, and TAVR procedures. The organization provides extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and specialized equipment for cardiac surgery. The facility maintains high standards for patient care and offers a collaborative environment with comprehensive support services.
