Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work night shifts with every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Available for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Patient ratios: 6 patients during days, 6-7 patients during nights and weekends
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adults and geriatric patients on a 32-bed telemetry unit
• Primary patient diagnoses include CHF, new onset AFib, COPD, and pneumonia
• Handle mostly medical PCU patients with some overflow med/surg cases
• Required certifications: PA state license or compact license, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Skills required include MS/Tele, phlebotomy, IV management, vasoactive drips, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, post-MI care, pre/post cardiac cath, feeding tube management, blood product administration, central line care, wound care, tracheostomy care, and isolation precautions
• Float within hospital when needed
• Two pre-approved time off days allowed
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
