Opportunity:

RN - PICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts with rotating schedules
• 36 guaranteed hours per week with facility allowed to call off 3 times during 13-week assignment
• Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
• Float to NICU required; may serve as resource in Pediatric ED for IVs and medications
• 4 weekend shifts per schedule for day shift and 4-5 for night shift required
• 1.5 years of PICU experience required (recent within last 2 years)
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, PALS, New Mexico license
• Special procedures experience preferred: CRRT, ECMO, ventilators, inotropic drips
• Care for patients with respiratory distress/failure, renal failure, trauma, ECMO, hematology/oncology, multi-system organ failure
• Work with specialized equipment including external ventricular drains, high flow nasal cannula, ICP monitoring
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Black scrubs required (not provided)
• Cerner charting system
• No RQI certifications accepted
• Must live outside 75-mile radius of facility

The facility features 554 total staffed beds and serves as a comprehensive pediatric care center. The PICU unit has 20 beds with a daily census of 15 patients, supported by interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The facility maintains high standards for trauma care and specialized pediatric services, offering advanced procedures and equipment for critical care patients.
