Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work night shifts with 3x12 or 4x12 hour schedule options
• Maintain 1:6 patient ratios across all shifts
• Must have Medical-Surgical Orthopedic and Medical-Surgical Neurology experience
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS (must be obtained at time of submission)
• On-call rotation required
• Must work weeks that include holidays
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week preferred
• Float to other units as needed
• Care for adult and geriatric patients on 24-bed Neuro/Ortho floor
• Manage patients with total joint replacements, fractures, spinal surgeries, amputations, gastric surgeries, and stroke patients
• Work with specialized equipment including bariatric equipment, Buck's traction, CPM machines, and chest tube management
• Perform skills including blood product administration, central line management, wound care, IV management, and telemetry monitoring
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions
• Valid Kentucky or compact state nursing license required
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Must reside outside 65-mile radius from facility
