Description
Opportunity:
RN - PCU
Job Details:
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Care for adult to geriatric patient population
• Patient ratios: 1:4-5 PCU; 1:5-6 MS/MS Tele
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Must be proficient in Epic charting system, Pyxis, and SBAR
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Float required to all MS, MS/Tele, PCU units within the hospital
• Every other weekend schedule (average 6 weekends in 13-week contract)
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• No call requirements
• Holiday work requirements based on number of major holidays during assignment
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Handle all potential MS, MS Tele, and PCU diagnoses
• Skills include cardiac telemetry, blood product administration, chest tubes, feeding tube management, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, wound care, and tracheostomy care
• Work with interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• GA or Compact license required at time of submission
• Two supervisory references highly preferred
• Must be available to complete core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
