Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work with patient diagnoses including orthopedic, bariatric, renal & general surgery, abdominal pain, CHF exacerbations & renal conditions
• Patient ratio of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Work every other weekend
• No call responsibilities
• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
• 2 years of experience required - unit accepts first time travelers
• 24 hours of orientation required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required skills include bariatric surgery, colostomy care and management, continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube care, isolation precautions, med/surg, MS/Tele, peripheral line care/management, peripheral nerve block catheters, pre/post hemodialysis management, pre/post neurosurgery, starting and maintaining IVs, total joint replacements, use of rapid response/code teams
• Work with adults and geriatric patients
• 36-bed unit with daily census of 36
• Holiday work requirements apply based on number of major holidays falling within assignment period
• Maximum 7-day RTO allowed
• Full compliance required to start on time
