Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 3-4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights)
• Patient ratios of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
• 24 hours of orientation required
• Float as needed per census - if pulled to another ICU still maintain 2 patients, if pulled to telemetry unit only take 3 patients
• Strong neuro experience required with neuro ICU experience documented in work history
• 2+ years of recent ICU experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Required certifications: NIHSS, ACLS, BLS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must be located more than 75 miles from facility to qualify for travel rates
• Adult patient population in 19-bed neuro ICU unit
• Experience required with airway management, ventilated patients, arterial line management, dysrhythmias, central line management, IV drips, isolation precautions, computerized documentation, ABG interpretation, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressor titration, and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure management
• Experience needed with fempops, CEAs, post thoracic surgeries, post cranis, and neurosurgeries
• Handle patient diagnoses including acute/subacute strokes, subdural hematomas, craniotomies, carotid procedures, seizures, meningitis, post-cardiac arrest, sepsis, respiratory failure, and multi-organ failure
• Work with specialized equipment including extraventricular drains, lumbar drains, CRRT, Arctic Sun, ventilators, and BIS monitoring
• Complete non-billable modules during orientation and annually
