Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 36/36 or 36/48 schedule with rotating weekends and holidays
• No call required
• Floating to other units required
• Patient ratios of 1:5 for days, nights, and weekends
• Must accept 1:7 ratios when floated to medical surgical units
• Weekend coverage required: 2 Saturday/Sunday shifts per schedule period for day shift or combination of 6 Friday/Saturday/Sunday shifts per schedule period for night shift
• 24 hours of orientation including 16 hours of non-billable orientation
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning modules
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, AHA ACLS
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Must participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• Work with adult patient population with daily census of 37 patients
• Skills include cardiac telemetry, central line care, chest tube management, blood product administration, and various cardiac and vasoactive drip management
• Access to interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• Hospital may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty for census decrease
• Drug test must be completed 12-14 calendar days prior to start date
• Fit testing required with facial hair trimmed or removed per CDC guidelines
