Opportunity:

Radiology / Cardiology - Interventional Radiology

Job Details:

• Work standard procedure hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with flexibility for earlier or later procedures
• Call duties divided equally among team members, typically two nights per week and every other weekend
• Weekend on-call coverage from close of business Friday to department opening Monday morning
• Must arrive within 30 minutes when called in
• Float between IR and Cardiac Cath Lab as needed to assist with patient care
• Patient ratio of 2:1 with daily census of 5 patients and 5 visits per day
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• 24 hours of orientation required
• 7 weekend shifts per contract with one pre-approved time off request
• Must have 2 years of experience in specialty - first-time travelers not accepted
• Travel experience required - local travelers not accepted (must be over 65 miles from facility)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT, and Louisiana State License
• Must maintain Louisiana license or compact license upon submission
• Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures including cardiac catheterizations, angioplasty, stent placements, and various radiology procedures
• Work with specialized equipment including fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and GE Innova IGS systems
• Maintain sterile technique and equipment inventory
• May be assigned to Emergency Team during emergency events with expectation to remain at facility
