Description
Opportunity:
RN - PICU
Job Details:
• Work in 32-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with 1:2 patient ratios for days, nights, and weekends
• Float required to NICU, CCU, or medical-surgical units (travelers float first)
• Every other weekend requirement
• Care for typical medical/surgical ICU patients that are non-cardiac including respiratory, trauma, and neuro cases
• Must have ventilator, intubation, and sedation experience
• Level II trauma experience required
• Experience from large pediatric hospital required
• First time travelers accepted
• Minimum 2 years RN experience required
• Pediatric patient experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Required certifications: Nebraska RN license or Compact license, BLS (AHA), PALS
• Preferred certifications: Certified Pediatric Nurse or Certified Critical Care Nurse
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Daily census ranges from 12-18 patients
• Locals within 100-mile radius not accepted
• Former permanent employees not accepted as travel staff

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
