Description
Opportunity:
RN - Tele
Job Details:
• Work in telemetry unit caring for adults to geriatric patients with diagnoses including CHF, MI/chest pain, dysrhythmias, hypertension/hypotension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT/vascular issues
• Maintain patient ratio of 1:4-5 on a 36-bed unit with average daily census of 35
• Work every other weekend with no call requirements
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed (no holiday RTO approved)
• Floating required to other units as needed
• Must have minimum 2 years of nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (NIH preferred)
• Must be proficient with Epic charting system, Pyxis, and SBAR communication
• Scrub color requirement: Navy Blue
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration including milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem, lidocaine, bumex, and heparin
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, central line care, chest tube management, CPAP/BIPAP, feeding tube care, IV insulin protocols, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• 12 hours of orientation provided based on contract length
• Full compliance required to start on time with 48-hour turnaround for core items and lab scheduling after contract signing
• Clinical screening required to determine clinical fit before manager review

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
