Opportunity:

RN - ICU Neuro

Job Details:

• Work 36 or 48 hours per week with guaranteed hours
• Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
• No on-call requirements
• Weekend coverage varies based on unit needs
• May float to other ICUs, PCU floors, ED to care for admitted patients, and PACU to care for admitted patients
• With new tower opening, possibility of switching to CTICU (Cardiothoracic ICU)
• 1.5 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH
• Must have Neuro experience and ICP monitoring skills
• Care for patients with TBI, SAH, SDH, tumor resections, status epilepticus, and other neurologic disorders
• Perform EVD insertions, neuro post-op care, A-line insertions, intubation, central line insertion, CRRT procedures
• Post-TPA care and post-thrombectomy care experience required
• Work with EVDs and CRRT equipment
• Must interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Black scrubs required
• Use Cerner charting system
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• RQI certifications not accepted
• No locals within 75 miles accepted
• Block schedules may be accommodated but not guaranteed
• Overtime must be pre-approved and is rarely granted
