Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 36/36 or 36/48 schedule with no call requirements
• Patient ratios of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Floating required with 1:7 medical-surgical ratios when floated
• Weekend coverage required: 2 Saturday/Sunday shifts per schedule period for days or combination of 6 Friday/Saturday/Sunday shifts for night shift
• 24 hours of orientation with 16 hours non-billable
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, NIH, AHA ACLS
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Must participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• Care for adult patients with daily census of 37 patients across 37 beds
• Manage various cardiac conditions including post-cardiac catheterization and post-MI patients
• Experience required with blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line management, chest tubes, and vasoactive drip titration
• Work with interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• Hospital can cancel one shift biweekly without penalty if census decreases
• Traveler's permanent residence must be 100+ miles from hospital service area
