Description
Opportunity:
RN - Cardiac Tele
Job Details:
• Work 36-hour night shifts only
• Contract duration of 13-26 weeks accepted
• Patient ratios vary by acuity: 1:4 for surgical step down, 1:5-6 for lower acuity
• Weekend requirement: 4 per 4 weeks (flexible scheduling)
• Float requirement: Will follow unit rotation - not first to float
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac floor experience required
• Travel experience required unless traveler has more than 24 months of cardiac experience
• Must be comfortable with cardiac telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown care
• Skills include sheath removal, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, post MI care, pre/post cardiac cath, managing cardiac drips
• Experience with chest tubes, external CPAP/BIPAP, and non-invasive airway management required
• Preferred skills include arterial line management, wound care/wound vac, and charge experience
• 24-hour unit orientation provided
• Navy scrubs required
• Must work with special equipment including arterial lines, doppler, bladder scanner, EKG, femoral sheaths
• Documentation systems: EPIC and SBAR communication
• Contract staff expected to work Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team during catastrophic events
• Fatigue policy: Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or more than 60 hours per week
• Must complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually
• Interview required for all candidates

The facility features a 44-bed cardiac telemetry unit with a daily census of 41 patients, providing post-operative care for complex cardiac and vascular procedures. The unit specializes in treating patients with various cardiac conditions including atrial fibrillation, CHF, ACS, CAD, and post-surgical cardiac patients. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and specialized cardiac services, maintaining high standards of care for adult and geriatric populations.

I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
