Description

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Specializes in post-op GI and wound care on Med/Surg unit
• Patient ratio of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 24-hour orientation required
• Weekend coverage required
• Float to other inpatient units as needed (agency floated first)
• Work every other holiday
• May receive Med Surg overflow patients
• Must have minimum 2 years acute care experience
• Post-op experience and full-time post-op unit experience required
• Previous travel contract completion required for submission
• Must live over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA required)
• Louisiana or Compact license required upon submittal
• NURSYS report required (within 4 weeks of submission)
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including pancreatitis, GI bleeds, bowel obstructions, wound infections, post-op infections
• Perform procedures including pancreatectomy, esophagectomy, Whipple, bariatric surgery care
• Work with equipment including PEG, PEJ, PCA, surgical drains, wound vac, nephrostomy tubes, colostomy/ileostomy care
• Emergency team assignment possible during emergency events with expectation to remain at facility

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
