Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Must have experience with CRRT and IABP
• 2+ years of recent ICU experience required
• Travel experience required
• Patient ratio: 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
• 36-hour orientation period
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must be proficient in Epic charting system
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Must be skilled in airway management and management of ventilated patients
• Arterial line management and central line management required
• Experience with IV drips, dysrhythmia management, and isolation precautions
• Ability to interpret ABGs and dysrhythmias
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and titration of IV vasopressors
• Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Float to different units as needed
• Must live more than 75 miles from facility to be eligible as traveler
• Kentucky nursing license or compact license required at submission
• 2 references required

This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive intensive care unit providing critical care services to patients with complex medical conditions. The facility specializes in treating patients with STEMI, stroke, renal failure, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest cases, and various surgical patients. The ICU is equipped with advanced technology including IABP, CRRT-Prismax, Impella devices, and Arctic Sun systems. The unit provides interdisciplinary support through IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services.
