Opportunity:

Job Details:

• Work 10-hour or 12-hour shifts based on facility needs
• Occasional call and weekend coverage required
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must live 100 miles from the facility
• Experience in General OR, Pediatric General OR, and Trauma required
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, CNOR preferred
• 16 hours of nonbillable orientation beginning on Sundays
• Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• Work with patients of all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• 18 operating rooms available
• Patient ratio of 1:1 across all shifts
• Epic charting system preferred
• Must complete drug test within 12-14 calendar days prior to start
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed for CDC fit testing guidelines
• Non-billable modules averaging 4-5 hours completed during orientation
• Extensive surgical experience required including trauma, general surgery, orthopedic, vascular, robotic procedures, and specialty surgeries

Facility:

This is a Level 1 Trauma Center providing comprehensive surgical services across multiple specialties. The facility features 18 operating rooms and supports a wide range of surgical procedures from general surgery to complex trauma cases. The medical center offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The organization is committed to nursing education and requires staff participation in clinical student mentorship as part of preparing future healthcare professionals.
