Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Choose between 36-hour (3x12) or 48-hour (4x12) contract options with 36 hours guaranteed
• Every other weekend required with weekday coverage
• Float to like units within scope to meet facility needs
• Patient ratio of 1:4 with stretch ratio of 1:5, may also cover LPNs
• Care for pre/post-op surgical cardiovascular patients and medical cardiac patients requiring progressive care/monitoring
• Treat vascular patients, amputations, and detox patients
• 2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS; MAB preferred
• Skills required: IV Start, Telemetry, PCU/IMC experience
• Special procedures include ostomies, chest tubes, wound vacs/care, CPAP/BiPAP, central lines, PICCs, and cardiac drips (Heparin, Amnio, Cardizem)
• WV or Compact RN License required
• Must live greater than 100 miles from facility (75-99 miles considered case-by-case)
• Royal blue/white scrubs required
• Charting system: Cerner
• Flu vaccination required with medical exemptions only
• Orientation held every other Thursday

This major teaching hospital is a 838-bed short-term acute care facility and Level IV Trauma Center. The facility is a member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH) and features a 28-bed cardiovascular telemetry unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy services.
