Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:20 AM to 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6
• Every other weekend requirement
• Must work 2/3 winter holidays and other future holidays during contract
• No on-call requirements
• Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity
• Must have telemetry skills and successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Must be comfortable caring for gender affirmation surgery patients
• 2 years minimum Med Surg/Telemetry experience required
• Must have 1 prior travel assignment
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, NIH, ACLS
• Navy blue scrubs required (not provided by facility)
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Skills include: Blood product administration, central line care, chest tubes, feeding tube management, heparin protocols, telemetry monitoring, wound care, tracheostomy care, and IV management
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with post-operative focus and other medical diagnoses
• 48-bed unit with telemetry capability and monitor techs
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
