Opportunity:

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Work night shifts in Level II Nursery
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Care for neonates 29-34 weeks gestational age
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Float to well baby unit as needed
• Every other weekend requirement
• 1 year of NICU experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• EPIC charting system experience required
• 12-hour orientation provided
• One pre-approved time off request allowed
• Skills include: NICU II care, breastfeeding support, various feeding methods, isolation precautions, central line care, UAC/UVC management, IV vasopressors, surfactants, steroids, neonatal abstinence syndrome management, bubble CPAP, and oxygen delivery systems
• Care for patients with prematurity, RDS, neonatal abstinence, hypoglycemia, and feeder/grower babies
• Complete non-billable modules averaging 4-8 hours during orientation and annually through Relias/Net Learning portal

Facility:

This medical center operates a 22-bed Level II Nursery with a daily census of 3-4 patients, providing specialized care for premature neonates and babies requiring intermediate level support. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and transportation. The unit specializes in managing premature infants 32 weeks and above, providing stabilization services, and preparing patients for transport to tertiary care centers when needed.
