Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• Minimum 2 years of experience required in fast-paced ER environment
• Previous travel experience required - first time travelers not accepted
• Strong pediatric population experience highly preferred
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Float to ICU and ED for helping hands/team nursing approach as needed
• Patient sitting responsibilities may be assigned
• 36-hour orientation period (1 week class/clinical time)
• Required certifications: ACLS, CPI, PALS, TNCC
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skills required: General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, triage
• Handle all chief complaints ranging from minor cuts and scrapes to complex emergencies including trauma, neurological emergencies, psychiatric emergencies, sepsis, and substance use disorders
• Perform special procedures including conscious sedation, trauma alert/activation, stroke alert, cath lab activation
• Work with specialized equipment including Point of Care US/USGPIV, EPOC, Belmont, Ranger, Teleneurology
• Any color scrubs acceptable
• Drug screen required within 14 days of start date

This healthcare facility operates a high-volume emergency department with 50 beds and 36 rooms, serving an average daily census of 70 patients and handling approximately 160 visits per day. The facility features a Level II Trauma Center with comprehensive emergency services treating patients across the entire lifespan from neonates to geriatrics. The department provides extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams, ensuring comprehensive patient care in emergency situations.
