Opportunity:

RN - IMC

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week working 3x12 hour shifts
• Every other weekend coverage required based on operational needs
• Float to Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units as needed with 1:5/1:6 patient ratios
• Patient ratio experience of 4-6 patients required
• No call requirements
• 24-hour orientation period
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• PCU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Previous charge experience strongly preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Skills include central line care, chest tube management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, heparin and insulin protocols, telemetry monitoring, and various IV therapies
• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including CHF, diabetes, COPD, sepsis, ESRD, and general surgery cases
• Work with special equipment including bedside monitoring, ultrasound IV, cardiac monitoring, and lift equipment
• Complete pre-start modules averaging 12 hours

This healthcare facility operates a 15-bed Intermediate Care Unit providing comprehensive care for adult patients requiring close monitoring and specialized nursing interventions. The unit features advanced cardiac monitoring capabilities for up to 8 patients and maintains interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The facility emphasizes evidence-based practice and requires specialized competency validation for rhythm interpretation to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
