Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation and holiday rotation required
• No call responsibilities
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• 2 years of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
• Cardiac telemetry experience required
• Must have experience with management and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Peripheral line care/management and PICC line management required
• Must be able to titrate drips
• Must have PCU ratio experience
• Floating required as needed between all campuses
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• Zero tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• 36 hours of orientation
• Local radius of 50 miles - no locals accepted
• Adult patient population with daily census of 30
• Skills include blood product administration, central line care, chest tubes, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, IV insulin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, telemetry monitoring, and wound care

Facility:

This healthcare organization operates a 34-bed General Medical Progressive Care Unit with all telemetry monitored beds providing cardiac surveillance. The facility features a centralized cardiac monitoring department that provides surveillance for patients and offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The unit primarily serves patients with stroke, renal disorders, sepsis, endocrine disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, and hematological disorders.
