Description

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in mixed unit PCU, Med Surg Tele and Med Surg observation unit
• Maintain 1:4 patient ratios for all shifts
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• Must have 2 years of nursing experience with familiarity of intermediate medication drips (heparin, nitro, cardizem, insulin, etc.)
• Charge experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and NIH
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Float within service line to Neuro/Stroke, Cardiac, Orthopedic, Trauma, Oncology, General Surgery, Uro/Vascular, and Observation units
• Float between Toledo, Flower, Bay Park, and Wildwood facilities as needed
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including chest pain, abdominal pain, atrial fibrillation, TIA, anemia/GI bleed, dehydration/AKI, syncope, vertigo, COPD, asthma, UTI/pyelonephritis, headache/migraine, CHF, seizure, carbon monoxide poisoning, pancreatitis, cellulitis, and post-outpatient surgery complications
• Work in fast-paced department with length of stay goal of 18-24 hours
• 2/3 of patients managed under EDOBS providers from 7a-7p, reachable by phone call to ED from 7p-7a
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
• Schedules subject to change with two-week notice based on staffing needs
• RTO requests greater than 7 days require management approval
• First-time travelers accepted if they have Level 1 or 2 trauma experience

The organization provides comprehensive acute care services with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The facility utilizes EPIC charting systems and offers free parking for staff.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
