Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 36 or 48 hour shifts in Level 1 trauma emergency department
• Patient ratio of 1:5 across all shifts
• 2 years of experience required; Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
• Travel experience strongly preferred
• Weekend shifts required as needed (Saturday/Sunday days, Friday/Saturday/Sunday nights)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC (must have TNCC before submission)
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to Pediatric ED is optional, floating to Adult PCUs is expected based on staffing needs
• May float to ED Holding and Trauma DOE as needed
• Guaranteed contracted hours (36/48/40) per week with facility allowed to call off 3 times throughout 13-week assignment
• Approximately 60%-80% of Emergency Department patients are admitted with many ED rooms functioning as "ED Holding"
• Handle 170-200 daily census with 175 visits per day in 53 rooms with 68 beds
• Provide medication administration including IV medications, document and communicate clinical findings
• Use Cerner charting system with bar code medication scanning
• Work with patients ranging from adolescents to geriatrics
• Black scrubs required (not provided)
• 24-hour orientation with modules billable up to 4 hours
• Overtime must be pre-approved and approval is rare
• No locals within 75 miles accepted
• New Mexico license can be pending at time of submission
