Opportunity:
Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology
Job Details:
• Work 5x8 schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• On-call requirement: one night per week and one weekend per month
• Call hours are 5:30 PM to 6:30 AM Monday-Friday and 24 hours Saturday-Sunday
• 13-week assignment duration
• Handle daily caseload of 15-18 patients across 4 rooms plus PET/CT
• Treat patients of all ages from adolescents to geriatrics
• Prepare, administer, and measure radioactive isotopes for therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies
• Perform general nuclear medicine studies including bones, renals, gastric emptying, GI bleeds, HIDAs, thyroid uptake/scan, parathyroids, VQ perfusions, cardiac and EPT/CT
• Calculate doses and prepare stock solutions of radioactive materials
• Required skills: IV starts, phlebotomy, EKGs, PACS
• Must have experience with cardiac, bone scan, brain scan, lung scan, renal flow, thyroid studies, SPECT, myocardial procedures
• Required certifications: BLS, NMTCB (ARRT preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technician experience required
• Must work independently and be experienced and proficient
• Virginia license required or proof of application with active license from another state
• Must attend Epic training class (accelerated or 2-day)
• Dress code: Pewter Grey scrubs
• Travel experience required, seasoned travelers preferred

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
