Description
Opportunity:
RN - ER
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts with guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 3x12 shifts or 48 hours for 4x12 shifts
• Float position with potential to float to inpatient PCU unit
• Work in an acuity adaptable ED boarding unit with patients ranging from medical-surgical to PCU/stepdown/ICU level of care
• Patient ratios range from 1:4-6 depending on acuity type and patient needs
• 4-bed unit that can expand to 8-10 beds based on staffing and acuity needs
• Team nursing environment working with RN/LPN depending on acuity and staffing
• Must be comfortable with delegation and working with LPNs
• Handle ED boarding patients who are stable and moved out if they become unstable
• High-paced environment with up to 15 admissions per day due to constant turnover
• Every other weekend requirement
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• 2 years of nursing experience required with PCU experience mandatory
• Travel experience required, first-time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Must have skills in blood product administration, central line care, heparin protocols, cardiac drip management, and telemetry monitoring
• No on-call requirements
• Floating is 100% required to other units within the hospital or affiliate hospitals

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
