Opportunity:

RN - Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Self-scheduling with call requirements on nights and weekends
• Call schedule: 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM weekdays and 5:30 PM Friday to 7:00 AM Monday for weekends on rotation
• Average approximately 9-14 days of call in a six-week period
• One call weekend per month with same call team
• Patient ratios: 3-4 during days, on-call for nights and weekends
• Daily census ranges from 5-24 cases
• 4-room unit with 4-person call team
• 30 hours of orientation required
• Must have Cath Lab and IR RN experience
• Conscious sedation, ICU, or ED experience required
• Travel experience required - no first-time travelers
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Skills required: interpretation/management of dysrhythmias, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, interventional radiology
• Work with adult and geriatric patients
• Scrubs are provided
• Handle diagnostic caths, STEMI/NSTEMI cases, peripheral AVF angios and thrombectomies, IVC filters, pacemaker inserts, generator changes, loop inserts and removals, EP studies, pain procedures, and cardioversions
• Work with specialized equipment including balloon pumps and temporary pacers

This medical center features a comprehensive cardiac catheterization laboratory providing advanced cardiovascular and interventional procedures. The facility offers a 4-room unit with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The organization maintains high standards for cardiac care with specialized equipment and experienced teams to handle complex cardiovascular procedures and emergency cardiac interventions.
