Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 3 weekends (Friday-Sunday) per 4-week schedule - may be scheduled 1, 2, or all 3 days of weekend
• Float to Pediatric Emergency Department when necessary
• No on-call responsibilities
• Patient ratios range from 1:5-6, potentially up to 1:8 depending on patient volume and holidays
• Care for patients of all age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Daily census of 250 patients with 100 beds
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving OR Day After, Christmas Eve OR Christmas Day, New Year's Eve OR New Year's Day)
• May request one holiday off but cannot request both eve/day after AND day of holiday
• RTO blocked 11/28-11/30, 12/19-12/21, 12/26-12/28
• Required certifications: Michigan state license, ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS, TNCC, NIH
• Preferred certification: ENPC
• Minimum 2 years experience required
• Level I trauma experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• Travel experience required
• 36-hour orientation required
• Must complete non-billable modules before working (5 hours should be margined)
• Must provide proof of high school level education

The facility provides comprehensive emergency services with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The organization maintains high standards for emergency care and requires extensive training and certification for all emergency department staff.
