Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Details:

• Work Monday-Friday with the Heart team typically from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Shift times vary based on case schedule: 5:45 AM - 2:15 PM for 7:00 AM cases or 6:40 AM - 3:10 PM for 8:15 AM cases
• Required to be on weekday call 1-2 times per week, staying until cases are finished then on call from home
• Weekend call required 1-2 weekends per 6-week schedule from Friday 3:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM
• Must live within 30-40 minutes of facility for call requirements
• Patient ratio of 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Handle approximately 2 cases per day on average
• Work with 10 rooms available, serving adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• 10 hours of orientation required
• Must have minimum 2 years of experience with cardiothoracic experience required
• Travel experience required
• Valid PA license or Compact license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Circulate skills required
• Float within hospital when needed
• Complete required non-billable modules prior to entering facility

This healthcare facility operates a specialized cardiovascular operating room with a dedicated Heart team of 3 registered nurses. The facility provides comprehensive cardiac surgical services with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and requires completion of facility-specific modules for all clinical staff.
