Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Float pool position covering Med-Surg, Telemetry, and discharge lounge units
• 1:4 patient ratios
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week for 8 and 10-hour shifts, 36 hours per week for 12-hour shifts
• Float between Med-Surg/discharge 12 bed unit, Med-Surg/Tele 23 bed units, and Med-Surg 4 bed unit
• 64 hours of orientation provided
• Documentation system: Cerner (EPIC preferred)
• Medication system: Pyxis
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI
• Skills include blood product administration, isolation precautions, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, PCA, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, PICC line management, skin grafts, IV management, surgical drains, and wound care
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must obtain Alaska license prior to starting
• Minimum 100-mile radius rule applies
• References required but can be submitted with pending status
• Local candidates not accepted
• Must complete billable modules averaging 4-5 hours during orientation
