Opportunity:
RN - Observation Unit
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM (Monday-Thursday schedule)
• No Friday, weekend, or holiday requirements
• No on-call responsibilities
• Patient ratio 1:6 maximum, 1:3 expected
• Possible floating to another observation unit or days shift based on census
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• South Carolina or Multi-State Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Work in a six-bay 23-hour observation unit within a surgery center PACU
• Staffing model includes 2 RNs and 1 PCT, with possibility of 1 RN and 1 PCT some nights
• Care for variety of patients including orthopedics (total joints, arthroscopy, hand/shoulder/elbow cases), interventional radiology, and GI procedures
• Work closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR nurses in fast-paced environment
• Required skills include airway assessment, conscious sedation, medication reconciliation, phlebotomy, and IV management
• Building security present overnight and moves inside surgery center waiting room after 8 PM
• Must complete non-billable modules averaging 4 hours pre-start
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Block schedule accommodation possible with manager approval

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
