Opportunity:
RN - Observation Unit
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM (Monday-Thursday only, no Fridays as unit is closed)
• Patient ratio is 1:6 maximum, 1:3 expected
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• No on-call responsibilities
• Possible floating to another observation unit on days or may be called off if low census
• Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Work in a six-bay 23-hour observation unit inside a surgery center PACU within a large clinic
• Planned staffing model of two RNs and one PCT, with possibility of one RN and one PCT some nights
• Care for variety of patients from orthopedics (total joints, arthroscopy, hand, shoulder & elbow cases), interventional radiology, and GI procedures
• Work closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR nurses in fast-paced environment
• Skills required include ambulatory/outpatient care, pre/post procedures, IV maintenance, airway assessment, conscious sedation, and medication reconciliation
• Building security present overnight and moves inside surgery center waiting room after 8 PM
• Complete approximately 4 hours of non-billable modules pre-start

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
