Opportunity:
RN - Observation Unit
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM (Monday-Thursday schedule, NO Fridays as unit is closed)
• Patient ratio of 1:6 maximum, 1:3 expected
• No weekends or holidays required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2 years of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• South Carolina or Multi State/Compact RN license required
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks for guaranteed hours
• Possible floating to another observation unit or called off for low census
• Work in a six bay 23-hour observation unit inside a surgery center PACU within a large clinic
• Staffing model includes 2 RNs and 1 PCT, with possibility of 1 RN and 1 PCT some nights
• Building security present overnight and moves inside surgery center waiting room after clinic closes at 8 PM
• Care for variety of patients including Orthopedics (total joints, arthroscopy, hand, shoulder & elbow cases), Interventional Radiology (VIR), and GI procedures (upper and lower scopes)
• Work closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR nurses in fast-paced environment
• Skills include airway assessment, conscious sedation, medication reconciliation, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs
• Complete average 4 hours of non-billable modules pre-start
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
