Description
Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - CVOR
Job Details:
• Work 10-hour day shifts from 6:15 AM to 4:45 PM in a 4x10-hour schedule Monday through Friday
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratios
• On-call requirement includes 2 days per week and every third weekend for an average of 14 call days per 6-week schedule
• May work up to 5 days if called in on weekend call
• Float to main OR on same campus when no volume in CVOR
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with CVOR experience, ECMO and Impella skills
• Required certifications: BLS; preferred certifications: ACLS
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Proficiency in scrubbing cardiac cases preferred but not required
• Experience with Epic documentation system preferred
• 24-hour unit orientation required
• Blue scrubs provided
• Care for patients with CABG, AVR, MVR, TVR, Aortic Dissection, TAVR, laser lead extractions, aortic root, carotids, thoracic cases, pericardial window, ECMO, and Impella
• Use of Pyxis medication system and Epic documentation
• Must be available for Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments during catastrophic events
• Cannot work more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week per fatigue policy
• Must complete 8-10 hours of non-billable acute care modules pre-start and annually

This major regional medical center features a comprehensive cardiovascular surgery program with advanced cardiac and thoracic surgical capabilities. The facility operates a specialized CVOR unit with 3 rooms handling approximately 6 cases per day, supported by interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services. The medical center maintains high standards for cardiac care and serves as a referral center for complex cardiovascular procedures in the region.

I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
