Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 4x12 hour night shifts (48 hours per week)
• Patient ratios of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend required (6-7 shifts)
• Every other holiday required
• Float required within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum overall score of 80% and 100% on lethal rhythms
• 2 years of experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Cerner experience required
• BLS required, ACLS preferred
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with medical-surgical and telemetry needs
• Skills required: MS/Tele, cardiac monitoring, genitourinary/renal, and IV therapy/phlebotomy
• Work with patients diagnosed with renal failure, sepsis, diabetes, hypertension, wound care needs, and chronic ventilation patients
• Utilize special equipment including lifts, vein finders, and RVM tele sitters
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Travel experience required

This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical center providing acute care services to the community. The facility features a 38-bed medical-surgical telemetry unit with 19 rooms serving approximately 30 patients daily. The organization offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
