Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work day shifts with every other weekend (EOW) schedule
• Float to like units as needed
• Possible charge nurse responsibilities as needed
• Option for 4x12 hour shifts
• Must work at least 1 of 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day
• Patient ratio of 1:6 (nurse to patient)
• Care for adult and geriatric patient population
• 30-minute lunch break required with no skipped meals policy
• Skills include IV starts, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, blood product administration, colostomy care, feeding tube management, heparin and insulin administration
• Work with surgical drains, PCA pumps, peripheral line care, PICC line management, and oxygen administration
• Level II trauma experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Alabama nursing license required
• Current BLS via AHA and fit test required
• NIH stroke scale certification preferred
• Must adhere to call-in policy and no skipped meals requirement
