Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 36 or 48 hour contracts with guaranteed contracted hours per week
• Patient ratios of 1:5 (possible 1:6) for days, nights, and weekends
• Hospital operates at over 100% capacity
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Weekend requirement: 2 per 4 week schedule (may vary by unit)
• Floating required to MS/Tele, PCU and lower acuity settings within skillset; float to ED ratios are 1:5
• No on-call requirements
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• New Mexico nursing license can be pending at time of submission
• Must be able to perform IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Skills required: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with conditions including heart failure, COPD, trauma, stroke, sepsis, and various medical conditions
• Work with Phillips cardiac monitors and expect primary nursing with limited ancillary support
• Black scrubs required (not provided by facility)
• Use Cerner charting system
• Free parking available
• Facility may call off up to 3 times during 13-week assignment
• Overtime must be pre-approved and approval is rare
• RQI certifications not accepted
