Description
Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PCU
Job Details:
• Float pool position covering approximately 5 Med/Surg Intermediate/PCU departments across multiple metro campuses
• Patient ratios of 1:5 across all shifts (days, nights, weekends)
• Weekend requirement: minimum of 8 weekend shifts every 6 weeks (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed per unit requirements
• 12 hours of orientation required
• 1-2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: ACLS
• Must have Kansas and Missouri nursing licenses or compact license
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Required skills: MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, pre/post cardiac cath care
• Handle patient diagnoses including sepsis, wound care, ETOH, renal failure, AFIB, GIB, stroke
• Work with equipment including Virtual Nurses, 12 lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, Omnicell
• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed
• 3 guaranteed shifts per 13-week contract
• Epic charting system experience required

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
