Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 36-hour night shift position with 2 shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM and one shift from 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM
• Every other weekend rotation required
• May occasionally float to Macungie campus
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for patients of all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Daily census of 45 patients
• 12 hours of orientation required
• Cross-trained to support respiratory services
• Typically 1 inpatient RN on shift most days, occasionally 2 RNs
• No nursing assistants on staff initially
• Team is cross-trained across the building
• Must have 2 years of nursing experience
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, NRP, PALS, TNCC, PA State License, ATCN
• Skills include arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, IV sedation, trauma care, emergency medications, triage, and ventilated patients
• Must complete pass/fail exam with only 3 attempts allowed
• PA fingerprints required and may require travel over 100 miles
• Must complete labs within 48 hours of signing
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
