Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Schedule options: 3x12 or 4x12 shifts with guaranteed 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required, weekdays schedule
• Float to like units, ICU, and observation areas when needed
• No call requirements
• 16-hour orientation provided every other Thursday
• Patient ratios: 3:1 for IMC, 4:1 for observation
• Care for variety of medical patients including respiratory issues, DKA, arrhythmias, post operative kidney transplant patients, and interventional neurological patients
• Manage telemetry patients with medical and surgical needs as well as renal population
• Required skills: Strong IMC/ICU experience, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, ventilator management
• Equipment experience needed: arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, trachs with vents, CVP, cardiac drips, and vasopressors
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (must be AHA certified)
• Minimum 2 years RN experience required with 1 year in-specialty experience
• WV or Compact RN license required
• Scrub colors: Royal Blue/White or combination
• Charting system: Cerner
• Open to block schedule requests and accommodating time-off requests

Facility:

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital serving as a Level 1 Trauma Center and major teaching hospital. The organization is a member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH) with 855 total staffed beds. The 3S Intermediate Care Unit features 8 IMC beds and 10 observation beds that are staffed separately, providing comprehensive care for patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and treatment.
