Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in Medical PCU with almost ICU level acuity caring for patients with multiple cardiac drips, stable vents, multi-organ failure, liver failure, and pulmonary conditions
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must be comfortable with titrating cardiac drips, starting IVs, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Charge experience preferred with potential charge coverage responsibilities and $3.00 hourly charge pay
• Floating required to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) within facility and affiliate hospitals
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend with possibility of consecutive weekends based on operational needs
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Teaching facility requiring agreement to precept and/or have students shadow during assignment
• Travel with patients for procedures as needed
• Experience with blood product administration, central line care, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, tracheostomy care required
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• First time travelers accepted
• Call-in shifts must be made up during pay period or added to end of contract
