Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Alternating day and night shifts with block scheduling
• Patient ratios of 1:3 for days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend coverage required
• May float to take PCU assignments in the ICU
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Work with patient diagnoses including CKD, ESRD, DMII, CHF, COPD, GIB, and post-operative patients
• Manage long-term ventilators and tracheostomies
• Use PYXIS medication system and CERNER documentation system
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CPI
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• 2 years of nursing experience required (may consider less based on experience)
• First-time travelers accepted
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Skills include blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, telemetry monitoring, and wound care

The progressive care unit maintains an 8-bed capacity with interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The facility focuses on complex medical conditions and post-operative care with specialized capabilities for long-term ventilation and tracheostomy management.
