Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Strong urology skillset required - must have majority 3s & 4s in urology section to pass
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for nights and weekends
• Weekend coverage required - must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• 36-hour orientation provided
• Self-scheduling system
• Floating required within hospital or to affiliate hospitals - may float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU)
• Required certification: BLS
• Cerner charting system experience required
• IV start skills required
• Special procedures include CBI and hand irrigations
• Patient diagnoses include urology, plastic surgery, orthopedic oncology, and surgical oncology
• Adult patient population with daily census of 28 patients
• Unit has 38 beds
• Skills required: Central line blood draw, heparin, insulin, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, PCA, surgical drains, total joint replacements
• Call-in policy requires making up missed shifts during pay period or adding to end of contract
• First time travelers accepted
• Local Indiana RN travelers not accepted for this position
• Previous charge experience preferred with $3.00 charge pay bump available
