Opportunity:

RN - Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work day shift approximately 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (end time may vary by an hour)
• On-call required with weekend coverage (varies per contract)
• Patient ratio of 1:1 during day shifts
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• 7-bed unit with 1 room for cardiac catheterization procedures
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH
• Texas RN License or Compact state license required
• Must live more than 150 miles away from facility or in a metropolitan area
• 2 years of cardiac catheterization lab experience required
• Travel experience strongly preferred
• Experience with MedHost and GE MacLab systems preferred
• Charting system experience required (Allscripts), Altera experience preferred
• Must complete facility drug screen upon arrival including marijuana testing
• Handle procedures including diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, angioplasty, cardiac stent placement, pacemaker insertion, IABP placement/removal, and Impella insertion
• Work with specialized equipment including MERGE HEMO, Philips X-ray, Philips IVUS, and Penumbra systems
• Manage patients with STEMI, ACS, NSTEMI, PAD, CAD, and arrhythmia conditions
• Complete non-billable orientation modules averaging 6-8 hours
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
