Opportunity:

RN - PICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour day shifts
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Must have applied for Oregon RN license and submitted fingerprints to Board of Nursing
• Required certifications: BLS and PALS
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Patient ratios of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for pediatric ICU patients ages 0-21 years old with acute and potentially life-threatening conditions
• Work in combined medical and surgical PICU including post-op cardiac patients and neuro trauma patients
• Must be willing to float within site and across the system as requested
• Refusal to float will result in contract cancellation
• Weekend coverage minimum every 3rd weekend with occasional extra weekend shifts
• Skills required: care of ventilated patients, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Work with specialized equipment including VDR and Hamilton ventilators, EVDs, and pupillometers
• Complete assigned education within one week of assignment
• Complete EPIC test out module or mandatory 8-hour training course
• Scrub color: any color except black and camo
• Cannot live within 50 miles of any Legacy facility
• One charge, supervisor, or manager reference required

Facility:

This specialized children's hospital provides comprehensive pediatric care with a focus on critical care services. The facility operates a 24-bed pediatric intensive care unit that serves as a Level I pediatric trauma center and small to medium volume ECMO center. The hospital offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and transportation services. The facility utilizes EPIC charting system and provides free parking for staff.
