Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Work 3 x 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Schedule focused on weekdays (Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday heavy)
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours in one workweek for 3 twelve-hour shifts
• PACU position with potential to work pre-op as needed
• Must be willing to work both PACU and pre-op areas
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Indiana state nursing license required and must be in hand prior to start date
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Patient ratio: 2:1
• 48 hours of orientation provided
• Care for patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Handle specialties including ophthalmology, orthopedics, general surgery, urology, and ENT
• Skills include IV insertion, conscious sedation, monitored anesthesia care, and nerve blocks
• Daily census of approximately 35 patients with 5 visits per day
• Work in 6-room unit
• Floating required within hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby
• Use Cerner charting system
• Free parking provided
• 2 supervisor references required
