Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Provide nursing care for adult to geriatric patient population on Renal Med Surg unit
• Maintain patient ratio of 1:5-6 across all shifts
• Work every other weekend with self-scheduling
• Floating required to other units as needed
• No call requirements
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Holiday coverage required - work holidays if they fall during assignment period
• 1 year of nursing experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must be proficient in various skills including blood product administration, central line blood draws, chest tubes, colostomy care, CPAP/BiPAP, feeding tube management, heparin protocols, insulin administration, telemetry monitoring, wound care, and pre/post hemodialysis management
• Wear navy blue scrubs
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Georgia or Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Two supervisory references highly preferred
• Must be available to complete compliance items within 48 hours of signing contract

This healthcare facility operates a 49-bed Renal Medical Surgical unit with an average daily census of 48 patients. The facility utilizes Epic charting system and Pyxis medication management, providing comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and requires full compliance for timely assignment starts.
